Abstract In this paper, we construct the coherent states for a system of an electron moving in plane under uniform external magnetic and electric fields. These are built context both discrete continuous spectra satisfy Gazeau-Klauder state properties Gazeau Klauder (1999 J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 32 , 123–132).
